DIED:
At his home in Carville, Ia., August 1, 1907, Roy Victor Jones, only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Jones. He was 13 years 7 months and 18 days of age at the time of his death.
Roy had always been a sufferer from epileptic fits and he had been taken to all the most skilled physicians at Rochester, Minn., Minneapolis, Minn., Chicago, Ill., besides those of neighboring towns.
The real cause of his death was not known until it was too late. He was taken suddenly ill and a physician was called who said the only hope left was an operation for appendicitis, but death claimed him ’ere he was taken from the table.
The funeral was held at his home in Carville, Aug. 4th. Kind and loving friends and scores of relatives who had tried to smooth his pillow of sorrow, tried to comfort the sorrowing father, mother and baby sister who are left to mourn his death.
His school-mates followed his remains and laid their last token on his casket. Many beautiful flowers were presented by his friends and relatives.
Roy was of a loving disposition and had only kind and loving words for all who knew him. He never complained but took his share of sickness with a smile.
Rev. Wesley Mark, of Charles City, conducted the services and he was laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery, Nashua, Iowa.
