PLAINFIELD - Doyle C. Woodman, 53, passed away Sunday, April 9 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 at the First Baptist Church in Plainfield.

Burial was in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City.

Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11 and from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, April 12 at Chenoweth & Son Funeral Home in Nashua and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Dovle C. Woodman was born on March 7, 1947 at Charles City, the son of Harold and Grace (Oleson) Woodman. He graduated from Nashua High School in 1965.

Doyle married Janette Femau on June 9, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Plain-field. Doyle and Janette lived in the Plainfield area all their married life. He was employed at the Plainfield Co-op until 1982 when he retired due to failing health. On July 1, 1998, Doyle became a resident of the Shell Rock Care Center.

Doyle loved life and his family. He was very proud of his family and his dog, Mel. When he was still at home in Plainfield, he looked forward to his morning coffee at Don's Service. He enjoyed watching Iowa Hawkeye football and basketball games. Doyle also enjoyed music and loved listening to his wife sing. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainfield. He loved anything to do with horses ana he loved to go fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Janette, Plainfield; two sons, Tim (Jennifer), Plainfield and Wes, Mankato; two grandchildren; his mother, Grace Woodman, Nashua; three brothers, Charles (Jan), Hudson, Dick (Lois), Cedar Falls and Eldon (Gayle), Golden, IL; sister-in-law, Janice (Charlie) Dietz; nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his father, Harold, in February of 1987.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
