Edna M. Gray, age 91, of New Hampton, Iowa, died Monday, January 23, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in New Hampton. She was born August 16, 1925 to August and Sophia (Popenhagen) Moehle in Sumner, Iowa. She married Merlyn Gray on June 17, 1951 at St. John's Lutheran Parsonage in Sumner. He preceded her in death.

Edna attended country school District #5 in Banks Township near Sumner, then began working at home and caring for her family. She farmed with her husband for 64 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton.

She is survived by her children, Judy (Kenny) McEwen of Lake City, Minnesota, Wayne (Shelly) Gray, LeRoy (Roxanne) Gray, and Darvin Gray all of
New Hampton, Iowa, and Lois (Karen) Gray of Coralville, Iowa; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Harold Gray of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and a sister-in-law, Gladys Lechtenberg of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother Robert Moehle. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with burial in the New Hampton Cemetery.
