SHERMAN OAKS, CA ~ Walter Seery, former resident of New Hampton, died Nov. 17, 2000 in Sherman Oaks, CA.
A Funeral Mass was held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Sherman Oaks, CA.
Interment was in San Fernando Mission Cemetery.
Walter was born on June 16, 1914 on a farm in New Hampton, the son of John and Rose Seery. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in India for nearly three years. He owned and operated a service station in Sherman Oaks, CA for 38 years before retiring. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and the Sierran Club.
Survivors include his wife, Anne; one son, Daniel; three daughters, Barbara Klosterman, Susan Korey and Mary MacNamara and four grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Rose Seery; one sister, Mary and two brothers, Harold and Clayton.
