NEW HAMPTON - Louise E. Rouse, 85, New Hampton, died Thursday, March 2 at the New Hampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after a short illness.

Funeral services were 10:30 Monday, March 6 at Immaculate Conception Church in North Washington with Rev. Francis Perry presiding. Jane Karels was organist and accompanied the men's choir. Placing the pall were her daughters ana their spouses. Louise's daughters were gift bearers. Don Flick was lector and Eucharistic Ministers were Bob and Marlys Schwickerath.

Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery at North Washington with Matt Freidhof, Chris Freidhof, Dan Freidhof, Shane Bulanek, Joe Wisher Jr. and Gene Schlader serving as casket bearers.

Visitation was from 3-8 .m. Sunday, March 5 at Conway uneral Home in New Hampton, with a 4 p.m. Rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture Service.

Louise Elizabeth Rouse was born Oct. 22, 1914 at New Hampton, the daughter of Tony and Mary (Pickar) Wisher. She was a 1932 graduate of St. Mary's High School in North Washington and married James Rouse Oct. 25, 1938 in North Washington. Following their marriage, the couple farmed near Colwell until 1942 when her husband joined the U.S. Marines. During World War II, she was employed at El Toro Marine Corps Base in Santa Ana, CA. After her husband's military discharge, they moved to North Washington where they lived until moving to New Hampton in 1966.

Surviving are her husband, Jim; two daughters, Roxanne (Norb) Freidhof, Assaria, KS, Deb (Tom) White, Shell Rock; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Joe Wisher; one sister, Rose.
