NEW HAMPTON - Elsie Ross, 101, LaCrescent, MN and formerly of New Hampton, died Monday, June 19 at the LaCrescent Health Care Center of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton, with Rev. Carl Schmitt presiding. Lector was Bob Baltes and Eucharistic Minister was Rose Baltes. Sr. Lorraine Loecher was organist, accompanying Jennifer Baltes as cantor ana the St. Joseph Resurrection Choir.

Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, New Hampton.

Visitation was one hour prior to services at the church. Conway Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Elsie Josephine Ross was born Jan. 29, 1899 in New Hampton, the daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth (Klein) Weber. She attended schools in New Hampton. Elsie was united in marriage with August (Copper) Ross in Minneapolis, MN. Following their marriage, they lived in Winona, MN, where they retired.

Surviving are two sons, Robert, OnaLaska, WI and Kenneth, Stockton, MN; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Copper on Dec. 17, 1979; four sisters, Emma Heit, Mildred Wash, Rose Katz and Lena Hackman; one brother, Ben Weber.
