WATERLOO - Ilene "Lee" Robinson, 72, formerly of New Hampton, died Saturday, March 11 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of natural causes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, New Hampton, with Rev. Carl Schmitt celebrating the Mass. The pall will be placed on the casket by her five daughters. Lectors will be Kelly Robinson and Theresa Kohlmeyer. Jacqueline Nosko will be the Eucharistic Minister. Music for the Mass will be provided by Sister Lorraine Loecher as organist and the St. Joseph Resurrection Choir.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Hampton, with Scott Kohlmeyer, Kevin Willadsen, Christopher Willadsen, Steven Nosko, Richard Hodina and Farley Roe as pallbearers.

Visitation was held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 at Larkin-Martin-Hugeback Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there was a 4 p.m Rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture Service. Further visitation will be held an hour prior to Mass at the church on Wednesday.

Ilene was born Feb. 8, 1928 in Waterloo, the daughter of Francis and Louise (Roethler) Roe. She attended school through the 12th grade at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Waterloo.

Ilene married Martin Robinson on Sept. 3, 1947 in St. John Catholic Church in Waterloo. The couple lived in California, Arizona and several towns in Iowa but always felt Waterloo was their home. The had owned Marty's Park Entry Motel and Restaurant in Okoboji, Marty's Sweet Shop in New Hampton from 1976 -1984 and Marty's Fisherman's Wharf in Lansing. Marty and llene retired in Waterloo in 1991 after living in Davenport.

Ilene was a former member of the Legion Of Mary and the Altar and Rosary Society at Sacred Heart CatHolic Church in Waterloo. Ilene enjoyed gardening, collecting and making dolls, antiques, singing and especially being a wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Marty; five daughters, Theresa Kohlmeyer, Tempe, AZ, Patricia (Phillip) Talbert, Pueblo West, CO, Cecilia (Richard) Hodina, Charles City, Kathleen Robinson, Waterloo and Jacqueline (Steven) Nosko, Byron, IL; two sons, Daniel (Mary), Long Grove, TX and Steven (Jackie), Davenport; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Donald (Bobbie) Roe, Waterloo, Franklin (Donna) Roe, Waterloo, Robert (Betty) Roe, Cameron, MO and Arthur Roe, Missouri; and one sister, Margaret Prindle, Waterloo.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Catherine White; and one brother, John Roe.
