NASHUA - Carolyn Rilla Peters, 55, passed away at ner home in Nashua on Feb. 1.

Funeral Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the United Methodist Church, Nashua with Pastor Linda Butler presiding. Music for the services was provided by Betty Orrie, organist, playing "Old Rugged Cross", Hymn of Promise" and "Amazing Grace".

Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua. Casketbearers were David Becker, Charles Becker, Ronald Dann, Tim Dann, Bryan Liddle and Richard Liddle.

Carolyn was born in Charles City on Jan. 30, 1945, the daughter of Theodore and Irma Leona (Springer) Dann. She attended Greenwood Country School and graduated from Nashua High School in 1963. She obtained her teaching degree from Westmar College in LeMars in 1967. Carolyn held various jobs over the years. She taught at New Hampton Schools; was employed at the Victim Crisis Center in Albert Lea, MN, for two years; and taught at Crystal Lake for four years. Upon moving to Nashua in 1990, she became employed with CUNA Mutual in Waverly. She held this position until 1998 when she began working for the Nashua-Plainfield Schools as the "School to Work" Coordinator.

Carolyn was united in marriage to Raymond Peters in 1968. To this union four children were born. They were later divorced. Carolyn was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She taught Bible School for several years.

Survivors include her three children, Ted Peters, Ames, Ramona Peters, Sioux City, Paul Peters, Nashua; one brother, Thomas Dann, Nashua; two sisters, Janet Liddle, Plainfield and Bonnie Dann, Sumner, WA; many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, JoEll Faith in infancy; four brothers, Frank, Richard, Robert and Russell; two sisters, Joanne Rugger and Leah Becker.
