SPRINGVILLE - James R. Nulty, 36, Springville, died of cancer at his home on Wednesday, Jan. 12.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15 at St. Isidore Catholic Church, Springville, with Rev. James Duster presiding.

Burial was in Springville Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Springville American Legion Post 331.

Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion, with an 8:30 p.m. Vigil Service and for one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.

Jim was born May 10, 1963 in New Hampton, the son of Tom and Agnes (Kelly) Nulty. On Dec. 31, 1988, he married Janet Pecinovsky in Protivin. Jim was a graduate of Coe College and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was employed by Grainger for 11 years. He was a member of St.Isidore Catholic Church in Springville. Jim enjoyed times spent with nis family and their vacations together, also hunting, golfing, card playing and skiing.

Surviving are his wife, Janet; their children, Lynna, Elizabeth and Ryan Nulty, at home; parents, Tom and Agnes Nulty, Cedar Rapids; father-in-law, Leonard Pecinovsky, Protivin; three brothers, Patrick (Cindy) Nulty, Ely, Tom (Carol) Nulty Jr., Newhall, Mike (Chris) Nulty, Omaha, NE; four sisters, Becky Brandt, Elkhom, NE, Maureen (Roger) Harvey, Council Bluffs, Teresa Nulty, Leawood, KS and Laura (Terry) Hutchens, Houston, TX; 22 nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his mother-in-law, Rose Mary Pecinovsky and a sister, Mary Nulty.

A memorial fund has been established for Jim's children.
