BRANSON, MO - Josephine Mae Alexander McNeel, 58, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000 at the Skaggs Community Health Center, Branson, MO.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel with Pastor Glenn A. Artt officiating.
Burial was in McKendree Cemetery, Odessa, MO.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 .m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 at the Ralph O. Jones Chapel.
Josephine was born May, 2, 1942 in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Harold M. and Mildred A. (Dinsmore) Anderson. She attended the South Omaha High School and graduated from the University of Nebraska, Omaha with an Elementary Education degree in 1985. On June 21, 1980 she married David Herschel McNeel in Grand Island, NE. She taught at the Highland Elementary School, Omaha, NE. She also worked for the Swift Meat Packing Co. in Grand Island as an accountant. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Nashua and the Frederika Lutheran Church, Frederika.
Survivors include her husband, David; two daughters, Sarah Jo, at home and Vicki L. Phillips, Hastings, NE; one son, Vince A. Harp, Hastings, NE; stepchildren, John T. McNeel, Concordia, MO; Lynn S. Knodel, David S. McNeel and Darlene K. Higgins, all of Grand Island, NE; Donna J. Schroeter, Duvall, WA; Doug L. McNeel, Honolulu, HI; mother, Mildred A. Alexander Roublcek, Omaha, NE, sister, Barbara Eckberg, Fountain, CO; 19 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her father, Harold M. Alexander.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark Area Assoc, for the Blind and/or McKendree Cemetery Assoc., Odessa, MO and /or Hillcrest Cemetery, Omaha, NE.
