Samuel L. Cook

This community was shocked Saturday morning to hear that Samuel Cook had been found dead in his bed when his wife went to call him. He had made no complaint the night before of not feeling as well as usual, and sat up rather late visiting with his wife and some of the neighbors who had dropped in to spend the evening. Although both Mr. Cook and his wife had had the influenza last fall and neither bad fully recovered from its effects it was not thought that it had left it weak spot in his system, but it must have affected his heart. His death came as a terrible shock to his family and friends.

Samuel Luther Cook was born in Richland, Ohio, Nov. 10, 1850, and died at his home in Nashua, Saturday, Feb. 22. 1919. Wash., and Earl D. of Nashua and Olive Catherine who died in infancy.

He had been a resident of this locality for the last sixteen years. He was a member of the M. E. church and of the Modern Woodmen lodge. He was a man respected by all who knew him.

The funeral was held at the home Wednesday, Feb. 26. at 1:30 and at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Bur¬ial was at Greenwood cemetery.

"No one hears the door that opens
As they pass beyond recall
Soft as petals of the roses
One by one our loved ones fall.”
