MRS. LENA HEDDENS, 74, DIES AT CHAS. CITY
Funeral Thursday for long-time resident of Riverton Township
The following obituary is reprinted from the Charrles City Daily Press:

Mrs. Lena Heddens, of 105 Maple avenue, passed away suddenly at her home Saturday evening after being ill for one day.

Mrs. Heddens was the wife of the late Rolf D. Heddens, well known Riverton township farmer, who passed away August 31, 1930.

They lived for many years on the farm west of Nashua, now occupied by their son, Engelke.

Mrs. Hedden has made her home in Charles City for the past seven years. She was a member of the Central Methodist Church.

Buaklena Ammerman was born to Engelke and Grace Ammerman July 28, 1871 at Freeport, Ill. On Feb. 28, 1894 she was united in marriage to Rolf D. Heddens at Galena, Ill.

To this union were born seven children, six of whom survive. They are Engelke Heddens, Miss Grace Heddens, Miss Hannah Heddens, and Ralph Heddens, all of Charles City. Mrs. Reka Hooper of Gladbrook, Ia. and Jonce Heddens of Waterloo. One daughter, Mae, preceded her parents in death. There are seven grandchildren surviving and two sisters. They are Mrs. Anna Heddens of Charles City and Mrs. Madie Wieman of Freeport, Ill.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Central Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Dwight James will have charge of the services with the Rev. W. Belling delivering the funeral sermon. Interment will be made in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home until Thursday at noon.
