JERICO - Adis G. Hereid, 71, died Friday, Jan. 28 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN of natural causes.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 31 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Lawler, with Rev. Rod Meyer officiating. Verna Orvis was organist and accompanied the congregation | singing "How Great Thou Art" and j "What A Friend We Have In Jesus". Rev. Meyer was the soloist I and sang "See Me Safely Home".

Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Lawler, with Shawn Hereid, Drew Hereid, Joel Knutson, Roger Knutson, Jeff Knutson, Chris Jirak and LaVern Sletten serving as casket bearers.

Visitation was after 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30 at Conway Funeral Home in New Hampton and an hour prior to services at the church.

Adis Grace Knutson was born Jan. 31, 1928 in Howard County, the daughter of Jeff O. and Cora Annetta (Vaala) Knutson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Jerico Lutheran Church. She attended country school near her home. After her schooling she farmed with her parents and worked in the surrounding communities.

On March 5, 1948 she married Merle Hereid at the Saude Lutheran Church Parsonage. After their marriage the couple resided in the Saude area until they moved |: to Alta Vista in 1968. After retirement the couple moved to Jerico where they were currently residing. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was active in the Immanuel Lutheran WELCA. She was a faithful lefsa maker and loved playing cards.

Survivors include her husband, Merle, Jerico; one son, Denny (Judy) Hereid, Sumner; one daughter, Deanna (Bob [Tex]) Hageman, New Hampton; one granddaughter; five grandsons; two great-grandchildren; three step-granddaughters; one step-grandson; one brother, Lowell (Rosafeen) Knutson, Saude; and one sister, Marcia (Dale) Wagoner, Jerico.

Preceding her in death were a grandson, Adam Hereid; her parents; two brothers, Orlo Knutson and James Knutson; and a sister, Carol Sletten.
