CEDAR FALLS - Hattie Dailey, 99, Cedar Falls, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 at her home of natural causes.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Valley View Baptist Church in Cedar Falls with Rev. Dr. Mary E. Robinson officiating.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery, Shell Rock.
Visitation was Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m. at the Kaiser Corson Funeral Home in Waverly.
Hattie was born Jan. 10, 1901 in Butler County, the daughter of Harm and Adelaide (Niewoldt) Ackerman. She married John Dailey on Jan. 5, 1925 in Hampton. Hattie and her family farmed east of Williamstown for a number of years.
Surviving are two sons, Lee Dailey, Waverly and William (Sandy) Dailey, Oelwein; two daughters, Iva Dailey, Cedar Falls and Eva Scoles, Waverly; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, John in 1946; two sons, Harold and Carl Dailey; a daughter, Gladys Dailey; a granddaughter, Verna Scoles; four brothers, Herman Ackerman, John Ackerman, Fred Ackerman and Bill Ackerman; three sisters, Michallena Ackerman, Gertie Ackerman and Grace Borneman.
Memorials may be given to the family.
