PEQUOT LAKES, MN -
Dave Beckman, 58, Pequot Lakes, MN and formerly of New Hampton, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2000 at the St. Cloud, MN Hospital.

Services were Monday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.

Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. Monday prior to services at the funeral chapel.

David Jacob Beckman was born Sept. 1, 1942 in New Hampton, the son of Jacob and Gladys (Yearling) Beckman. He graduated from New Hampton High School and then served four years in the United States Air Force. Upon his honorable discharge he moved to the Twin Cities area where he was employed by Toro for 31 years, most of which was spent in management. On April 25,1981 he was united in marriage with Kay Putrah and they made their home in Chanhassen, MN. In 1998, they moved to their home on Lake Ossainnamakee where they have since lived. Dave worked as a machinist at Magnum in Deerwood. He was a member of the American Legion in Robbinsdale, was an avid coin collector and enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.

Surviving are his wife, Kay; three sons, Ryan Beckman, Fargo, ND, Scott Wilson, North Branch, MN, Jim Wilson, St. Louis Park, MN; a daughter, Sandra (Kevin) Kraabel, Zimmerman, MN; six grandchildren; two brothers, Rick (Pam) Beckman and Steve Beckman, both of Mason City; two sisters, Sharon (Tom) Faught and Cathy (Jerry) Lessor, both of Mason City; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
