Last Friday afternoon Henry Zimes, a farmer living west of Alta Vista, was kicked by a horse and died that evening. He was breaking and had stepped to the side of the team to adjust a tug. Some colts came running by and as they did so the horse which he was standing near turned and kicked, striking Mr. Zimes on the head and crushing his skull. He was about 5_ [could be a 0 or a 9] years old, leaves a wife and several small children. The funeral occurred Sunday from the Lutheran church in Alta Vista.—New Hampton Tribune.
