FREDERICKSBURG - Judith Kaye Peterson, 58, of Fredericksburg, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Dec. 15, 1946, in New Hampton, daughter of Vernon "Stub" and Norma Urness Kerr. She married Donald R. Peterson on Sept. 26, 1965.

Mrs. Peterson graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1965. She was a bartender for many years at The Office, Fredericksburg Country Club, and was working at Maggies, all in Fredericksburg.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Perry (Carla Becker) of Manchester; a daughter, Penny (Joel) Lang of Cedar Falls; her parents of Fredericksburg; six grandchildren; a brother, Ronald Kerr of Dubuque; and a sister, Jane (Rick) Morgan of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Andrew and Sadie Urness; and her paternal grandparents, Fred and Stella Kerr.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Fredericksburg. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
