SAUDE - Theone Johnson, 90, of Saude, died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at her home after a brief illness.

She was born July 25, 1915, in Forestburg, S.D., daughter of Robert and Lena Johnson Fouberg. She married Alvin "Mel" Johnson Feb. 15, 1934, in the parsonage at Saude. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Johnson farmed with her husband in the Saude area. She also was founding member of the Saude Christian Day school.

Survived by three sons, Roger (Thelma) of New Hampton, and Rick and Gary (Ann), both of Lawler; four daughters, Lorraine Holt of Lawler, Joan (Bill) Jurs of Decorah, and Linda (Gerry) Bakke and Bernis (Tom) Benzer, both of Buffalo, Minn.; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell (Vera) Fouberg of Letcher, S.D., and Maynerd Fouberg of Huron, S.D.; and a son-in-law, Jim (Casey Gustafson) Reyerson.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Reyerson; a son- in- law, Stanley Holt; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two brothers, Harold and Omer.

Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Saude Evangelical Lutheran Church, rural Lawler, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
