NEW HAMPTON - Agnes T. Mashek, 71, of New Hampton died Friday, March 17, 2006, at Mercy Medical Center.

She was born Nov. 1, 1934, in New Hampton, daughter of Theodore M. and Euphemia M. Krogman Zimmer. She married A.J. Mashek on Oct. 22, 1955, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Hampton. He preceded her in death Oct. 22, 2001.

She graduated from New Hampton High School in 1952, then worked for a short time in the Chickasaw County Treasurers Office and St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. Mashek later farmed with her husband until retiring in 1983.

Survived by a son, Steve (Karen) of New Hampton; a daughter, Mary (Larry) Schubert of Rockford; six grandchildren; and a brother, John (Marlys) Zimmer of Fredericksburg.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Parish-St. Mary's Center, with inurnment in St. Mary's Cemetery, both in New Hampton. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. Scripture service, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
