FREDERICKSBURG - Janette Louise Seamans Branham, 40, of Wauchula, Fla., formerly of Fredericksburg, died Tuesday, July 26, 2005 in Wauchula.

She was born Feb. 20, 1965, in New Hampton, daughter of Charles and Kathleen Regenold Seamans.

Ms. Branham graduated from Fredericksburg High School in 1983; Iowa State University with a bachelors degree in business in 1986; and the University of Iowa with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1989. She was a state prosecutor in Florida for four years before going into private practice, practicing both civil and criminal law in Highlands and surrounding counties. She was co-chairperson of the Law Library.

Survivors include her parents of Fredericksburg; a brother, Lawrence (Patricia) Seamans of Ionia; a sister, Mary (Timothy) Wiltgen of Fredericksburg; a sister-in-law, LeAnn (Timothy) Baldwin of Nashua; and nieces and nephews, Joshua (Laura Cummins) Seamans, Nathan Seamans, Laura (Nathan Folkerts) Seamans, Katie (Philip) Bormann, Erin Baldwin, David Oswald, Megan Seamans, Bryan Baldwin and Daniel Oswald.

Preceded in death by a sister, Judith Seamans; a brother, Charles Seamans Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Michael Oswald.

Memorial services were Tuesday at First Christian Church, Avon Park, Fla.

Additional memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, with inurnment in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Fredericksburg. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, is assisting with local arrangements.
