Cyril Reicks, 71, of Alta Vista, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, at Finley Hospital, Dubuque, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Survivors include his wife, Florence; three daughters, Mary Jo Rooney and Janice Westervelt, both of Dubuque, and Judy Paulus of Elma; three sons, Kevin of Forest City, Lorin of Cedar Rapids and Jason of Rockford; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Leo of Lawler, Denis H. of Cresco and Loras of Waucoma; and five sisters, Arlene Bodensteiner of St. Lucas, Edith Shindelar of Fort Atkinson, Anita Imoehl of Postville and Monica Brooks and Verna Chacey, both of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Stephen; and a brother, Roger.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery, both in Alta Vista; friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home, Elma, where there will be 4 p.m. Knights of Columbus rosary and a 7 p.m. Scripture service; visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church; Mr. Reicks retired from farming in 1993 and was a part-time real agent.
