Bernice Watts, age 76, of Austin, MN, died of natural causes in her home on June 9, 1996. Memorial services were held June 13 at the Grace Baptist Church in Austin with Pastor Gordon Larson officiating. Imterment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Cresco. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Bernice was born August 27, 1919, in Protivin, the daughter of Theodore and Chrstina (Jirak) Bouska. She attended Catholic school through the eighth grade in Protivin.

On June 23, 1937, she was united in marriage to Leanus Watts in Northwood, Iowa. Bernice worked in the Austin area as a housekeeper and home health aide until she reitred in 1990. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Austin.

Bernice is survived by her daughters: Kathryn Jones of Chester, Darlene Corporon of Cedar Rapids; sons Frank Watts of Ft. Myers, FL, and David Watts of Rice, MN; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother, August Bouska, of New Hampton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, Louis, and a sister, Mrs. Genevieve Gorman.
