Funeral services for Elenora Ball of Lawler were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 13 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Lawler with Rev. Marvin Salz officiating.

The pall was placed by her two nieces: Debbie Prickett and Diane Svestka. Interment was in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Lawler. Pallbearers were: Tom Bruess, Tom Trewin, John Ries, Terrill Ball, Steve Svestka, and David Croatt. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Elenora, 80, died Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at her home in Lawler.

Elenora A. Ball was born December 26, 1923 on the Bruess family farm near St. Lucas in rural Fayette County, the daughter of Joseph and Milla (Winter) Bruess. She attended school in St. Lucas and at St. Mary's Catholic School in Waucoma.

On July 24, 1959 she married Joseph Ball at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Waucoma. They lived in Waterloo from 1959 until 1974 when Joe retired from John Deere. They then retired to Lawler. Joe died on December 6, 1988. She remained in her home until her death.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, and cooking. She was also active in several area organizations including the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Legion Auxiliary.

Elenora was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her parents; and one brother: Lee.
