Sharon (Cremer) Winter was born June 16, 1947 to Paul and Dorothy (Beer) Cremer in Cresco, Iowa. Sharon grew up in New Hampton where she attended St. Joseph's Catholic School and graduated from New Hampton High School. She was a secretary for several years and then Sharon was a business lady who owned and operated a ceramic shop. She was united in marriage on May 4, 1968 to Don Winter at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Hampton. Sharon and Don then farmed their present farm near Lawler. Currently she and her daughter own and operate the Blue Iris floral and gift shop in New Hampton. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Protivin and the Catholic Daughters.

Sharon loved color, painting, reading, flowers, especially roses. Sharon loved lipstick, fragrant cologne, flowing skirts, fine crystal, McDonalds, TJ MAXX Marathons, and a fully charged cell phone. She loved to laugh and visit. Not a card player, Sharon could still call a spade a spade. She perhaps had a mind of her own but a big heart she shared with everyone. She put the "share" in Sharon, so often giving flowers and gifts anonymously and eloquently writing personal notes of comfort and praise.

She loved being around people with a special place in her heart for her husband and her children. She loved Saturdays, Sundays, sunny days, rainy days…she loved every day! She loved her big swing in their shady back yard; she loved her plush sofa and fireplace in her den. Style, class and passion…nothing was done with anything less.

Sharon loved her family and her friends. Love is hanging on; love is letting go. She will be in our hearts, in everyday living, in the sun, the moon and the stars. Sharon, you will be so deeply missed.

Survived by her husband Donald of Lawler; son Ryan of Lawler; daughter Julie Winter-Havel and husband John of Calmar; sister June Gebel and husband Charles of New Hampton; brothers Steven Cremer and wife Patsy of Cedar Falls, IA and Keith Cremer and wife Theresa of Mason City, IA and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Dorothy Cremer.
