NEW HAMPTON - Joseph Theodore Hildahl, 68, of New Hampton, died Saturday, May 28, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester, Minn.

He was born June 6, 1936, in rural Elma, son of Alfred and Cora Johnson Hildahl. On June 18, 1961, he married Janis Dahlen at Crane Creek Lutheran Church. She died April 11, 2003.

Through the years he had worked at White Farm Equipment, Charles City, and at various jobs in New Hampton. He most recently worked in maintenance at Klunders Kafe, New Hampton, and had been a carrier for the Waterloo Courier for 17 years.

Survivors include a son, John of New Hampton; four brothers, Casper of New Hampton, Stanley of Peyton, Colo., Arlo of Marshalltown and Alton of Spring Lake, N.C.; and two sisters, Rose Marie Feenstra of Cresco and Janice Salazar of Hereford, Texas.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, New Hampton, with burial in New Hampton Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Conway-Kolbet Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
