PLAINFIELD - Jim Allen Jordan, 69, of rural Plainfield, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at home of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 22, 1939, in Frederika, son of Clyde and Cleora Slick Jordan. He married Della Plummer in 1958.

He graduated from Frederika High School in 1957. Mr. Jordan worked at John Deere, retiring after 33 years of service.

Survived by his wife; two sons, Jimmy (Tracey) of Jones, Okla., and Randy (Cindy) of Ashland, Neb.; three daughters, Glenda (Sam) Wilharm of Clarksville, Loretta (Randy) White of Alta Vista and Sherry (Robert) Saxen of Sergeant Bluff; three brothers, Leslie (Irene) of Nashua, Terry (Lois) of Sumner and Roger (Madonna) of Branson, Mo.; three sisters, Lavona Hansen of Waterloo, Joyce (Jerry) Pitz of Frederika and Sandra (Raymond) Tuitjer of Waverly; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a great-granddaughter; and a brother-in-law, Charles Hansen.

Memorial services: 4 p.m. Saturday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Nashua. Public visitation from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Interment of the ashes will be at a later date.
