LAWLER - Katherine M. Langreck, 80, of Lawler, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009, at the New Hampton Care Center, New Hampton.

She was born Nov. 3, 1928, on the family farm near Riceville, daughter of Victor J. and Katherine Linkenmeyer De Sloover. On July 24, 1951, she married Francis J. Langreck at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler. He died Feb. 16, 2007.

Mrs. Langreck and her husband farmed near Lawler until 2007.

Survived by three sons, Richard (Honor) and Joe (Tina), both of Lawler, and John of New Hampton; four daughters, Eileen (Tom) Carolan of Waucoma, Kathleen (Paul) Gnade of Fort Atkinson, Shirley Smith of Calmar and Doris Mitchell of Lawler; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Tillman of Waucoma.

Preceded in death by two sisters, Verda and Bernice Langreck; two brothers, Bernard and Loyal De Sloover; and a son-in-law, Paul Smith.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Lawler, with burial in the church cemetery. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the church, with a 4 p.m. rosary and a 5 p.m. Scripture service. Visitation also an hour before services Saturday at the church. Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, Lawler, is in charge of arrangements.
