IVER JEPSON SUCCUMBS

Iver B. Jepson was born in Butler county, Iowa, to Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Jepson, February 22, 1891. He was married to Vera Wamsley January 7, 1914. They resided most of their lives on the farm where he was born.

Three sons were born to them; Lyle of Nashua; Matthew, deceased as an infant; and Rev. Reid of Whittier, California. Four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Vera; his parents; one brother, Dr. N. A of Seattle; four sisters; Anna of Washington state; Celia of State Center, Iowa; Amanda of Minnesota; and Sirena of Plainfield, Iowa; Lydia of Pomona, California; and Dr. A. J. of Seattle, Washington survive. There are numerous nieces and nephews.

Many others affectionately called him “dad” in the four neighborhoods in which he lived. A number to whom he was endeared are missionaries or nationals scattered over the world due to Iver’s and Vera’s dedicated hospitality and Christian influence.

Funeral services were held November 28 from the Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua for Iver, who died November 24 at the Floyd County hospital, following a heart attack. Pastor Andrew Hagen officiated, and burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
