Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Chenoweth Funeral Home in Nashua for Mrs. Iver (Vera) Jepson, who would have been 76 in July.

Officiating were her son. Rev. A. Reid Jepson; and Rev. Charles Pederson and Pastor Andrew Hagen, the latter pastor of the Nashua Bible church. The Rev. Mr. Pederson is president of the Christian League for the handicapped, in which both Mr. Mrs. Jepson were greatly interested. He is from Walworth, Wis.

Casket bearers to the graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery were Kenneth Hanson. Chester Pals. Leslie Riden, Charles McElroy, Harley Hansen and Albert Klunder.

Vera Marie Wamsley was born near Clarksville, Iowa to Pierce and Jesse Pope Wamsley in 1893. She attended school at Clarksville and taught at two schools in that area. She married Iver B. Jepson at Waverly in 1914. For several years they operated a business there. They moved to the old family farm in Fremont Township until 1944 when they moved to the smaller farm nearby. They moved to their Nashua home in 1967.

At the age of 13 she accepted Christ as her Saviour in a Brethren gospel meeting and had been known for her Christian hospitality and practical interest in the Christian League, for the handicapped and gospel missions abroad. Their guest books are filled with scores of, names of guests and missionaries from around the world.

In excellent health most of her busy life, she first entered the Mayo Clinic hospital after she was in the 70's. In the good will of the Lord. He took her to heaven about 10:50 a.m. April 26. from Memorial hospital in Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, May; and a son. Paul Matthew, who died in infancy.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Lyle Pierce of Nashua and Alvin Reid of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother and a host of nieces and nephews.
