NASHUA - Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Zwanziger, 80, who died at the Cedar Valley Hospital Monday, April 20, [1949], where she had been a patient for one day, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home in Nashua. The Rev. Glenn L. Utterback, pastor of the Little Brown Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Horton Cemetery.

Born near Horton on September 18, 1878, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Seth Briggs. She was one of a family of 11 children. She spent her girlhood years in Horton vicinity, receiving her education in the public schools. Before her marriage she taught for a number of years in rural schools of the area.

She married Ed Zwanziger on Dec. 31, 1901 and they lived on farms in the Horton area until 1944 when they moved to Nashua. While living at Nashua they became members of the Little Brown Church. Following her husband's death in 1947 she has made her home with her children.

Survivors are: four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Dietz, Nashua; Mrs. Raymond Henniges, Charles City; Mrs. Harden Hansen and Mrs. Adolph Oberheu, both of Waverly; one son, Ed, Plainfield. Two brothers alos surviving are Ernest of Horton and Elmer of Canby, Minn. There are 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren surviving.
