PROTIVIN - Lucille A. Moudry, 91, of Protivin, died at home Monday, Dec. 1, 2008.

She was born March 2, 1917, in rural Winneshiek County, near Fort Atkinson, daughter of Joseph and Sophia Hyke Bohach. On Aug. 26, 1935, she married Ben Moudry at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Spillville. He died June 6, 1961.

Mrs. Moudry was employed at Buchheit Produce, Calmar, for 13½ years and then at Winneshiek County Memorial Hospital, Decorah, for another 17 ½ years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

Survived by a son, LuVerne (Hazel) of New Hampton; two grandsons, Allen (June) Moudry of Protivin and Kevin Moudry of Ossian; three great-grandchildren, Brad (Amy) Moudry, Sarah (Al) Njus and Ben Moudry; and four great-great-grandchildren, Breanna and Ty Moudry, Lydia and Elaina Njus.

Preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Moudry in 1967; and her brother and sister-in-law, Rudy and Ruth Bohach.

Memorial Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Protivin, with inurnment at a later date in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Spillville. Public visitation for an hour before services Thursday at the church. Hugeback Funeral Home, Protivin, is in charge of arrangements.

In her free time Lucille enjoyed flowers, gardening and crocheting.
