A GOOD MOTHER CALLED

Mrs. Earl Cory Answers Final Summons After Long Illness.

After many months of suffering, Mrs. Earl Cory passed away at her home in Nashua on Sunday evening, Sept. 26, 1920, and another home is bereft of the kind and considerate care of a loving mother.

Although suffering for so long a time, she bore he affliction uncomplainingly, and to the last she showed the greatest anxiety for the welfare of her family, in whom she took such pride.

Mary Elizabeth Francis, daughter of Richard and Elizabeth Francis, was born at Dodgeville, Wis., October 6, 1870, and passed on to the other world on the evening of September 26, 1920.

She was united in marriage to Earl C. Cory at Waverly, Iowa, Oct. 7, 1888, and to this union seven children were born. They are Earl, of Intake Montana, Peter, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Harold of Lake Village, Ark,; Mrs. Hazel Jones, Mrs. Kitty Strike, Kenneth and Rex, of Nashua.
Besides the husband and children she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. O.A. Anderson of Nekoosa, Wis., Mrs. R. C. Staack, of Waverly, Iowa, and Mrs. F. C. Wetherbee, of Seattle, Wash.

Her father was killed when she was thirteen years of age, and her mother died September 19, 1920.
After her marriage they resided at Waverly until 1849, when they moved onto a farm east of Nashua and in 1911 they moved to Nashua. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 505 at Nashua. In every community where she lived she won the respect and love of all who knew her. It can be said of her that she was truly a good woman and a true wife and mother.

At the time of her death, and for many days before the husband and all the children were with her.

Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Chas. E. Weidner officiating, and the body was laid to rest in Greenwood cemetery.
