CARL HANSON
DIES AT 83Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 23, 1972 at the United Methodist Church in Nashua for Carl Hanson, 83. who died suddenly two days earlier. The Rev. Robert Lemmermann officiated, and burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Nashua.
Casket bearers were Merle Hatzky, Stuart Hatzky, Robert Fisher, Dale Sonne. Roger Laydon, and Richard Nicholson. Mrs. Donald Shepard was organist, and Mmes. Arthur Lindell and Darrell Haar look care of the flowers.
Carl Hanson was born in Chickasaw County in the Republic area on August 5, 1888, son of Hans and Louise Anderson Hanson. He attended country school in this area until the family moved to Nashua.
He served in World War I in Germany and France, and upon his discharge, returned to his trade as a carpenter. He had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and American Legion Post in Nashua.
He was united in marriage to Isa Van Kleeck February 3. 1926. To this union one son, Carl Junior, was born. He preceded his father in death in 1950.
Mr. Hanson and his wife, who survives him, lived at their present home for the past 46 years.
Besides his wife, Carl is survived by five sisters: Mrs. Mary Rogers of Orient, Mrs. Lena Kipling of Fontanelle, Mrs. Lillie Knutson of Fredericksburg, Mrs. Charles (Anna) Otto of Bassett, and Mrs. Gary (Emma) Fisher of Nashua, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Chris; and his son. Carl Jr.
