Frances Ohm, age 78, died Monday, Jan 6, at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, Jan 9, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with the Rev Bernard Oebser officiating. Edith Kolthoff will be organist and accompany vocalists Peter and Phylis Willadsen. Hymn selections will include "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden".

Interment will be in the New Hampton Cemetery with her grandsons serving as casket bearers. They include Robert, Rick, Todd and Tony Ohm, Lee, Lance, Vance and Zachery Moorman dnd Linden Roethler.

Frances I Zipse was born June 8, 1913, near New Hampton, the daughter of William and Mary (Meyers) Zipse. She attended the rural schools. On July 24, 1933, she was married to Harry J Ohm at Charles City. Following their marriage, they farmed for several years and lived in the Lawler area where Mr Ohm was employed. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and of the Ladies Circle. Frances had been a resident at Chautauqua Rest Home in Charles City the last four years.

Frances is survived by three sons: LaVerne, William and David, all of New Hampton; three daughters: Mrs. Leland (Ann Marie) Moorman, Plainfield, Mrs Henry (Kay) Eischeid, New Hampton, and Mrs. Larry (Linda) Roethler, Cedar Falls; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan 22, 1975; two sons: Donald and James, one daughter, Patricia Ann Ohm; by her parents; one sister, Mabel Douglas; and one brother in infancy.

Conway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements where visitation was held after 3 pm on Wednesday and again one hour prior to service time at the church.
