Minna Zipse, 82, died early Wednesday, March 2, at the New Hampton Care Center. Funeral Services were held Saturday, March 5, at Trinity Lutheran Church in New Hampton with the pastor, Rev. Bernard Oebser, officiating.

Mrs Edith Kolthoff was organist and Jack Kendall was soloist. Music selections included "How Great Thou Art" and "Whispering Hope".

Interment was in the New Hampton Cemetery with Ben Ryan, Frank Kraft, Wayne Moetsch, Leo Cahoy, Vince Steffen, Merrill Ahrens serving as casket bearers.

Minna Martha Mathilde Ohm was born January 18, 1895 in Germany, the daughter of Robert and Ulrieke Ohm.

After the family moved to the United States, Minna attended the schools near Boyd. She was confirmed April 4, 1909 at St John's Church in Boyd.

On October 25, 1913, she was united in marriage to Edward B Zipse in Chicago, Ill. Following their marriage, the Zipses farmed 24 years in the Lawler and Fredericksburg areas. In 1937, they moved to New Hampton, where they had lived since. Mr Zipse died December 5, 1967. Minna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, LeRoy, one brother, Albert Ohm, two sisters, Elizabeth Peterson and Marie Foote.

She is survived by one son, Ellsworth, Denver, Colo, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. Albert (Martha) Carlson, New Hampton.

Conway Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
