Cornelius Russell was born abt 1836 the son of David Russell and Loretta. He was born in Hamilton Co., Ny and married Minerva Jane Whitman b. July 13, 1843 in Wells, Hamilton co., NY the daughter of Rose Whitman and Ellen Bently. Her grandfather was Isiah Whitman (b. June 1799) and her grandmother was Sarah Turner.
In the 1880 census, Minerva Jane and COrnelia Russell were living in Amherst, Cherokee Co., Iowa with their two daughters Alice M. age 15, and Rosey A. age 12.
I'd love to hear from anyone related to this family.
