James Curtis Farr b.21 Oct 1838 Canada d.13 May 1894 buried Diamond Cemetery Cherokee Co., Iowa. Catherine (Stone) Farr also buried there. James parents were George W. Farr b. England 1810 and Martha (Blackburn) Farr b. 1813 England. Catherine parents were Curtis and (Alida Stone, in 1880 census her last name was Snyder.)
Looking for children of James (Civil War vet) and Catherine Farr. I do have info on Alvin Farr their only son. His sisters were Charlotte, Mary A. and Kitty Leona Farr. One a teacher and think they all stayed in Cherokee Co. or there abouts.
Alvin Farr married Alice Hovenburg. Her family was in Buena Vista Co., Iowa. They settled in Parker, Turner Co., South Dakota. Children were Grace Leona (Farr) Scott, Ernest Farr (WW1), and Myrtle (Farr). Catherine passed on 8 Oct 1904. She was born Lewis Co., New York 2 Jan 1842. Would like her obit if it was published. Also looking for cousins.Thank you
