Dr. Charlotte M. Florine, 77, of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away Thursday, March 2, 1995, in Honolulu. Memorial services are pending with interment to be in Honolulu.

Dr. Florine was born February 28, 1918, to Knute and Christine Florine. She attended school in Cherokee graduating in 1935. She then attended Cherokee Junior College and later went on to the University of Iowa where she received her medical degree in 1945. She did her internship at St. Francis Hospital, Honolulu, Hawaii where she had been practicing until her retirement. When her health started to fail, she went to Philadelphia and took her psychiatric training at the University of Pennsylvania. She became a Doctor of Psychiatry but went back to Hawaii to practice there.

She traveled many times to the mainland and around the world to see family and friends.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Flint of Minneapolis, Minn. And Mrs. Patricia Pakarny of Indianapolis, Indiana. Also, by two sisters-in-law, Frances Florine of Sutherland and Maryann Florine of Marigold, Calif., and by one brother-in-law, Robert Moss of Plant City, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: John, Robert, Dale and Tome; and three sisters: Lucille, Bonnie and Della. (Source: Former Cherokee County Historical Society scrapbook. Clipping hand dated 3-8-95)
