The Cherokee Times - Monday , March 6th, 1911 - Isabelle M. Johnstone-Kintigh, eldest daughter of James and Agnes Johnstone, was born in Cedar township Dec. 12, 1874. She departed this life at her home in Blackwell, Okla., Feb. 28, at 2:30 p.m., aged 36 years, 2 months and 16 days.
She was married to Forrest Kintigh Sept. 4, 1895, and to this union were born seven children, all of whom survive the mother. For long and weary months she had been ill but in the midst of her sickness her plans and her thoughts were not for herself but for her husband and children. Her own home was always the field of her chief activity, and that her work there was nobly and patiently done those most intimately connected with her life testimony.
She leaves to mourn her loss, in addition to her husband and children, a father and two brothers. Her death is doubly sad at this time because a much loved daughter of this same household had been laid away just two weeks ago.
The funeral services were held at the home of her father, Mr. James Johnston, Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock, conducted by Rev. James W. Bean, interment being had in Cedar cemetery.
