Knut A. Florine, Cherokee, Iowa, died Feb. 13 at Sioux Valley Hospital. The funeral will be Feb 16 at the Boothby Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery at Larrabee.

Mr. Florine was born April 12, 1892, in Sweden and he came to the United States in 1908. He had operated the Florine Paint Store in Cherokee and had been a painter in the Cherokee area from 1939 until 1956. He also had farmed in Silver Township.

He was a member of Memorial Presbyterian Church and a 55-year member of the Cherokee IOOF Lodge. He married Christine Norgaard in Cherokee. She died in 1948.

Survivors include sons, Robert N. of Sutherland, Lt. Col. Thomas of Fort Lee, Va., daughters, Dr. Charlotte Florine of Honolulu, Mrs. Art (Lucille) Lorenzen of Scottsdale, Ariz., Mrs. Herman (Gladys) Flint of Minneapolis, Mrs. Robert (Della) Moss of Plant City, Fla., and Mrs. Daniel (Patsy) Pokorny of Washington, D.C.; 19 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
