Kenneth P. Kohn, 22, Cherokee, died Wednesday, May 13 at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be held Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cherokee. A Scripture service will be held Thursday at the Greenwood Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to either the Washington High School Debate Scholarship or University of Northern Iowa Foundation for the Ken Kohn Debate Scholarship.

He was born Dec. 29, 1969 in Cherokee to Bernard and Paula (Rupp) Kohn. He attended Cherokee schools and graduated from Washington High School in 1988. He was currently a junior at the University of Northern Iowa majoring in political science.

Survivors include his parents, three sisters, Mrs. Craig (Kathy) Handwork, Quimby; Mrs. Tom (Beth) Grant, Cherokee; and Mrs. Rusty (Aimee) Stratton, of Fort Dodge; grandparents Paul and Dottie Rupp of Cherokee, and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
