KINGSLEY, Iowa – Vera Klingensmith, 77, of Kingsley died Monday at the home of her daughter in Melbourne, Fla.

Memorial services will be Saturday in the Meadow Star Church, Rural Washta.

Mrs. Klingensmith, the former Vera Robertson, was born July 26, 1906, at Prey, Wis. She married Glen Klingensmith Aug 12, 1926, at Worthington, Minn. They lived most of their married life in the Minneapolis area before returning to the rural Washta area. He died in April 1982.

She was a member of the Kingsley United Methodist Church and was involved with the Grand Meadow Heritage Center.

Survivors include six sons, David of Kingsley, Richard of Denver, Colo., Roger and Dan, both of Minneapolis, Scott of Philadelphia, Pa. and Michael of New York City and four daughters, Ruth Hasting at Tucson, Ariz., Kaye Metcalfe of Melbourne; Joan Oberdeck of Jacksonville, Fla. And Maryin Dorwart of Boca Raton, Fla. Two sisters, Lucille Fitch of Worthington and Bernice Gray of Sioux City, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
