Mrs. Mary D. Corrington, 93, Cherokee died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1992 at 4:10 p.m. in the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30, 1992, at 1:30 from the Boothby Funeral Home. Dr. Delmar Carlson will officiate, and burial will be in the Elk Township Cemetery at rural Alta.She was born on Oct. 23, 1898 in Cherokee County to George and Ellen Booth Sr. She was married to Arthur J. Corrington in 1918. She had been a resident of the Country Side Estates in Cherokee since 1982 and had been a Cherokee County resident most of her life. She had worked for Dr. Pritchard in Cherokee, the Lewis Hotel, and Speelmon’s Steak House for a number of years. She was a member of the Quimby United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur; two sons, Keith and Vernon Corrington; three brothers, John, William and George Booth, Jr.
She is survived by three sons and their wives, Loren and Neva Corrington of Nevis, Minn., Marvin and Dixie Corrington of Corsicana, Texas, Karl and Gayle Corrington of Burbank, Calif.; two daughters and their husbands, Evelyn and Tom Perrett of Santa Ana, Calif., and Cleo and Merle Baumgardner of Marcus; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Phyllis Corrington of Quimby; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-great-grandchildren.
