Marian L. Jackson
Funeral services for Marian L. Jackson, 79, of Aurelia were held Thursday, Jan. 14, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia. Rev. Henrietta Klarenbeek officiated. Burial was in the Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee.

Marian died Monday, Jan. 11, 1993 in her home after a lengthy illness. She was the only child of J. Lee Warre and Geneva Mitchell Ware. Marian was born on Feb. 10, 1913. She attended school in Cherokee where she graduated from high school. On June 22, 1931, she married Robert E. Jackson at Ness City, Kan. To his union two daughters, were born: Margie and Iris.

Arian and Robert farmed in Cherokee County until they retired into aurelia in 1965. Marian enjoyed needlework of all kinds and enjoyed gardening. She loved to cook. She was a 4-H leader, a Pythian Sister and ACC. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Aurelia.

She is survived by two daughters, Margie Tarbill of Gladstone, Mo., and Mrs. Gaylord (Iris) Litterick of Beatrice, Neb.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Merle Lochner of Meriden and Ruby Cross of Nashville, Tenn.; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Robert, on Aug. 30, 1978.

Casket bearers were Lonnie Litterick, Steven Tarbill, Randy Moore, Larry Lickiss, Neil Lickiss and Richard Lochner. The funeral was under the direction of the Wharton-Redig Funeral Home in Aurelia.
