A. C. M. Chapman, 83, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Cherokee township at the home of a son, Vere Chapman.
The deceased had been a resident of this vicinity most of his life. His occupation had been farming and for a number of years Mr. Chapman served as sexton of the Liberty cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his wife and also two sons in infancy. Also surviving are eight children: Mrs. Samuel Anderson, Dover, Ida.; Clare Chapman, Palouse, Wash.; Sharman, Granite, Ida.: Mrs. Thomas Burnes, Tracy, Minn.; Mrs. Carl Lindstrom, Lindstrom, Minn.; Mrs. Theodore Henderson, Cherokee; Harry Chapman, Meriden; Vere Chapman, Cherokee.
Twenty-six grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren survive.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Meriden Free church, Rev. Bertil Thorne officiating. Burial is to be in Cedar cemetery. Boothby funeral home will be in charge of services.
