DIED – Davidson Russell, one of the early settlers of Pitcher township in this county, died at the residence of his son-in-law Oscar Chase Esq. in this city on the 16th, inst. At the advanced age of 70 years, 11 months and 21 days. The funeral occurred on Monday of this week, at the residence of Mr. Chase, the remains being taken to Aurelia for burial, Mrs. Russell, wife of the deceased, who died some years ago, having been buried there.
Mr. Russell was well known, especially in the eastern part of the county and will long be remembered as an upright respected citizen, one who having lived nearly the number of years allotted to man, went down into the valley of the shadow having the respect of all, and amid much of sincere grief.
