Mrs. Rolla (Ruth) McConnell, 62, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday in Cherokee following a short illness. Her home was at 526 W. Cedar here where she had lived the past seven months. Formerly she had lived in central California. She was born Feb. 7, 1907 at Peace Dale, R.I.

She was married in Cherokee to Rolla McConnell on April 14, 1945. She was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church here and a member of Auxiliary to Elk’s Lodge in California.

Survivors are the husband, Rolla, Cherokee; two brothers, Russell Gwynne and family of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Robert Gwynne and family of Covina, Calif.

Her parents and one sister preceded her in death.
