Therese Nelson Warburton, 90, died July 31, 1990 at her home in Royal Oak, Michigan following a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 4 at 10 a.m. from the Boothby Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Kruger will officiate and burial will be in the Pilot Cemetery at rural Cherokee, Ia.

She was born July 13, 1900 at Cherokee, Iowa to Nels M. and Maria Erickson Nelson. She had graduated from Cherokee High School and Iowa State University and then received her Master's Degree from Columbia University in New York.

She was married to Lyle Warburton on April 2, 1930 and he passed away on October 19, 1930. She was a home economics instructor at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. for 31 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She had made her home in Royal Oak, Mich. the past 52 years.

She is survived by two sisters: Miss Erma Nelson, Cherokee and Mrs. Cornelia Walsh, Spooner, Wisc.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.
