Millie Waples, 93, of Storm Lake, Ia., died Wednesday, February 1, 1989 at the Methodist Manor in Storm Lake, Ia.

She was born March 6, 1895 in Schaller, Ia. to Charles H. Tanner and Mahallie (Higgins) Tanner. She graduated from Schaller High School. She married Clair Waples on October 25, 1917 in Onawa, Ia. and became a housewife.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clair.

She is survived by two daughters, Myrthel Waples of Storm Lake and Mrs. Merle Simonsen of Cherokee; one brother-in-law, Eldon Waples of Castana and one sister-in-law, Hazel Hawthorne of Sioux City and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Friday, February 3, 1989 at 9:00 a.m. at the Hughes-Nelson Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Rev. Clifton Ellenbeck officiating.

Interment was in the Kennebec Cemetery in Castana, Ia.
