Frances Elaine Woltman, 68, died Sunday, April 8, in Country Side Estates following an extended illness. She had been a resident of Cherokee County most of her life.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Ries officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Greenwood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born March 25, 1922, to Mr. and Mrs. William Bowen, in Cherokee. She attended school in Cherokee, graduating from Wilson High School in 1939. She attended Briar Cliff College for two years and then attended St. Joseph's Nursing School in Sioux City. She worked as a registered nurse for many years in both the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital and the Mental Health Institute. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and the IC Catholic Church.

Survivors include one son Kevin, of Larrabee; two brothers, Phil of Omaha, Neb.; and Bill of Des Moines; and one sister, Mrs. Catherine Hinkley, Cuppertino, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
